GREENSBORO, SC -- The Covenant College men's soccer team began the 2010 season sitting comfortably in the NCCAA's Top 10 National Rankings as a result of its 3rd place finish in the National Tournament last year. But after stuttering to a rough 1-3 start this campaign, the Scots saw themselves drop out of the rankings...until now.
After the Scots defeated Lee University 2-1 in overtime last Saturday, they regained their spot in the Top 10, and now sit tied with Bethel College (IN) for 9th place. To earn the ranking, Covenant won 6 straight games (including the victory over Lee) to move to a 7-3 record on the year. And after defeating NCAA Division II University of Alabama at Huntsville 2-0 on the road this past Wednesday, the Scots will most likely move up even further in the charts.
