Bristol, TN- The Lady Scots' volleyball team took a trip north this past weekend to compete against 3 opponents in the Bristol, VA area. Although starting slow in Friday's match, the Lady Scots managed a come-from-behind win against Virginia Intermont College, winning in four sets 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 26-24. Unfortunately, Saturday's opponents held a combined record of 20-5 and did not allow Covenant to get very much done offensively. In the first match against Emory & Henry College, the Lady Scots managed only 27 total kills, their lowest amount for a single match this season. Their second match against King College showed some improvement against tough competition, but the ladies were still downed in four sets. Erica Adams brought her kills percentage up to 29.15% which ranks her 16th in the NCCAA.
Covenant is now 6-8 overall and will play at Bryan College in Dayton, TN, Tuesday night.
