Lookout Mountain, GA- The Lady Scots' volleyball team moved to 0-3 in 5 set matches this season after losing a close battle with former AAC rival Milligan College last night. Although Covenant had a one set lead twice in the match, the unflinching Lady Buffaloes of Milligan hung tough and escaped with a 3 point win in the deciding set. Sophomore outside hitter Emily Stewart hammered 16 kills for the Lady Scots bringing her season total up to 99 in that category. She now shares the team lead for kills with fellow Sophomore Jessie Jakes. Setters Joanna McGill and Kristin Dahlstrand combined for 37 total assists in the match.
The Lady Scots begin a series of road-trips on Friday as they travel first to Virginia to face Virginia Intermont College and Emory & Henry College. Covenant will not be back for a home match until Tuesday, October 6th against Bryan College.
