Bluefield, VA- Covenant's Lady Scots soccer team got its second taste of conference action this past Saturday when it made the trip to West Virginia to face Bluefield College. Coming off of a 0-0 draw with Milligan, and a 2-0 loss to Sewanee, the Lady Scots were hoping to find a way to score some much needed goals. Saturday's contest was not the time for the turnaround, though, as the Scots once again failed to find the net. Playing the game on a rough field, and on the road, Covenant could not manage to convert one of their 24 shots into a goal. Junior Aubrey Brown led the team in this category with four shots, and goalkeeper Bethany Holman, with help from the defensive back four of Caitlin Ezell, Joy Cain, Eliza Drew, and Kathryn Allison, played 110 minutes to record her second consecutive clean sheet. After this draw the Lady Scots are now 1-1-2 on the season and, after four consecutive games on the road, will finally play their home opener against Lee University this Wednesday.
