Maryville, TN - Scoring a season-high fourteen points and collecting ten rebounds, freshman Matt Taylor had his best game of the season but it couldn't help Covenant to a victory as they lost 76-93.
Shooting 49% for the game and an impressive 43% from three-point territory, Maryville did a good job offensively against the Scots, improving to 17-6 on the year.
Along with Taylor's strong performance, senior
Reed Crosson (18) and sophomore
Davis Eldridge (23) had solid offensive showings. Eldridge also finished with two rebounds, three assists, three steals and no turnovers. He hit five treys on the night and now has made 88 in 28 games.
The Scots are now 2-26 this season. They will take on the University of Virginia at Wise in their next game which takes place at home on Wednesday, February 18th at 7:30 PM.
