Athens, TN- In their final away match of the regular season, the Lady Scots' volleyball team defeated the Lady Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College in 4 sets (23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-12). Tennessee Wesleyan took the first set thanks to their 14 team kills and only 4 attacking errors. However, the Lady Bulldogs managed only 24 kills on .021 hitting for the remainder of the match. For Covenant, Emily Stewart recorded 10 kills on 21 attempts as well as a team-high 2 solo blocks. Joanna McGill added 4 kills in her 7 errorless attempts, and Erica Adams contributed 3 service aces and 5 assisted blocks.
On the season, Erica Adams leads the team in hitting percentage at .232; Joanna McGill has accounted for 473 of the team's total 964 assists; and Katrina Unglaub holds the highest dig count at 421. The Lady Scots will look to improve these numbers as well as their 14-15 record in their last regular season match against Montreat College on Saturday, November 7 at 4:00PM.
