Lookout Mountain, GA - 27 points from senior guard Reed Crosson and double-doubles from senior Chris Hall and freshman Stephen Buchanan were not enough for the Scots to pick up their first conference win of the season as they fell to Tennessee Wesleyan College 80-85.
Crosson, who knocked down seven of his thirteen three-point attempts, reached the twenty point mark for the third straight game while Hall and Buchanan finished with strikingly similar lines, each finishing with fourteen points and thirteen rebounds in 32 minutes. Hall chipped in defensively with three steals.
Despite holding a record of 1-20, the Scots have shown improvement lately with the emergence of the freshman Buchanan as a viable scoring option and the continued solid play of the team's senior leaders, Hall and Crosson. With nine games remaining in the last month of the regular season schedule, the Scots will try to finish strong and with some momentum going into the AAC tournament, which begins February 25th.
