Lookout Mountain, GA - Senior Reed Crosson hit seven of his sixteen three-point attempts to lead the Scots with 24 points but it wasn't enough to top the Appalachian Athletic Conference's top team as Bluefield College rolled to victory 69-96 Wednesday night. Crosson, who also added five rebounds and two assists, shared the offensive spotlight for Covenant with fellow senior Chris Hall who dropped in eighteen points and also had five boards and two assists. Hall shot 5-11 from the field and went a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. Stephen Buchanan, who had stepped up his play since moving into a starting role, finished with nine points in only eleven minutes while dealing with foul trouble.
Bluefield finished with four players scoring in double figures, led by forward Omar Reed who led the Rams with 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Bluefield improved to 9-0 in the AAC while Covenant has had no such luck, moving to 0-9 in the conference and are now 1-19 overall.
The Scots are back at home on Saturday, January 24th when the host the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs.
