Barbourville, KY - The Lady Scots lost to both Union College and Shawnee State University today in Barbourville. After traveling to Atlanta on August 30th and defeating both Toccoa Falls College and Agnes Scott College in three sets each, the Lady Scots were dealt a much different hand this afternoon, losing to fellow AAC conference member Union College and Shawnee State University in back-to-back matches, each in just three sets. Covenant played hard, but lost to Union by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-22 and to Shawnee State by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 26-24. The Lady Scots have now dropped three straight matches in three sets after winning their previous three matches in three sets. Covenant now holds an overall record of 3-4, with a conference record of 1-1.

The girls will look to turn things around when they return home to play Cumberland University at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9th.
