Bristol, VA - The Lady Scots came out strong tonight, finishing off the Lady Cobras of Virginia Intermont in just three games. Losing their two previous matches, Covenant came into Bristol ready for a win. They got it in fairly easy fashion, winning all three games against the winless Cobras by at least six points. Winning game one by a score of 25-15, the Lady Scots set the tone for the rest of the night. They then went on to win game two by a score of 25-19 as well as game three by a score of 25-16. It was a big win for Covenant, bringing them to an even 7-7 on the year and giving them a winning conference record at 4-3. With six matches remaining on their current AAC stretch, the girls will look to continue winning the way they were able to tonight. Their first chance to do so will be tomorrow, September 27, when they play division-leader King College at 11:00 AM in Bristol, TN.
