Lookout Mountain, GA - The Lady Scots got a 4-3 win over the Reinhardt College Lady Eagles this afternoon thanks in part to three goals from senior forward Kalie Estrada. Playing a great first half in which the Lady Scots were able to keep Reinhardt scoreless, Covenant set the tone for the rest of the game, finishing with their third win of the year. After coming out strong in the second half, scoring early on Estrada's second goal of the match, the Lady Scots found themselves in a tie after two goals by Reinhardt junior forward Megan Parker, both coming within a six-minute span. Covenant later took back the lead on Estrada's third goal of the match and it would not be relinquished. Covenant freshman midfielder Dana Streufert's goal, the first of her career, made it 4-2, and despite a late goal from Reinhardt's Katelyn Prester, time ran out on the Lady Eagles' chances. After the win, head coach Mark Duble said "That first half was the best half of soccer I've seen in the past couple years." The Lady Scots are now 3-2-1 overall with a 1-0-1 conference record. Their next game will be against Georgetown College, Saturday, September 20th in Georgetown, KY at 2:00 PM.
