Williamsburg, KY - The Lady Scots fell to the University of the Cumberlands Thursday, matching their biggest loss of the season just one game after picking up their biggest win of the year. Covenant couldn't find the shooting touch in their sixth game this season, shooting just 33% from the field, including a 2-17 mark from three-point territory. They also made just twelve of their 25 attempted free throws.
The only Lady Scot in double figures in scoring on the night, senior Liz Martin dropped in sixteen points on the night and added five rebounds while playing the contest's entire forty minutes. Leading the Lady Patriots was freshman Lauren Wombles who scored seventeen points on 7-12 while grabbing thirteen rebounds to record a double-double. Three other Lady Patriots finished in double figures in scoring and two others finished in double digits in rebounds.
The Lady Scots will try to turn things around when they take on Pikeville University tomorrow, November 15th.
