Pikeville, KY - The Lady Scots fell to 3-4 on the year this afternoon, losing to the Lady Bears of Pikeville University. Going 0-2 in their tournament in Kentucky, the girls came close but couldn't find a way to top their opponents Friday.
Playing 35 minutes, freshman Ashley Wilson scored sixteen points and shot 5-11 from three-point range despite going just 1-4 from the free throw line. Senior Liz Martin added fifteen points, three rebounds and six assists but committed a season-high six turnovers. Junior Erika Forland also committed six turnovers but had a solid night otherwise, scoring five points while pulling down eleven rebounds, adding three blocks and two steals on the defensive end. Sophomore DeDe Walls finished with eight points and twelve rebounds, playing just seventeen minutes.
The Lady Scots will being conference play next week when they take on Tennessee Wesleyan College on Wednesday, November 19th in Athens, TN.
