Lookout Mountain, GA - The Scots knocked off the visiting Brewton Parker College Barons this afternoon, scoring four goals in the process. Playing in the last of three consecutive non-conference match-ups before they return to AAC action, the Scots were able to get the best of the Barons, getting each of their goals from a different player. Midfielders Luke McCaslin, Joshua Johnson and David Pifer scored, with forward Sasha Viatrov adding a goal of his own. Defender David Nielsen picked up an assist for Covenant on Pifer's goal that opened the scoring for the match.
Despite the number of shots taken for each team being nearly even at 20-17, in Covenant's favor, the Scots were able to better capitalize on their opportunities, leading to the victory.
The Scots improve to 4-5-2 on the year and hold a 2-2 record in the AAC. Their next match comes at home against conference foe Union College on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 PM.
