Lookout Mountain, GA - In the first of three consecutive AAC matches, Covenant defeated the Bulldogs of Union College by a score of 3-1. Sophomore forward Julian Allgeier had a big match for the host Scots, scoring on two of his three shot attempts and picking up an assist on a goal by sophomore midfielder David Pifer to cap an impressive offensive day. Allgeier's first goal came early in the match, just after the five minute mark, while his other score, coming off an assist from junior midfielder Luke McCaslin, came late in the game to seal the win.
Covenant improves to 5-5-2 overall and now owns a 3-2 record in the AAC. Next up for the Scots is another conference match that comes against Tennessee Wesleyan College, taking place on Tuesday, October 14th at 4:00 PM in Athens, TN.
