The Lady Scots went on the road today and held the Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldogs scoreless to pick up a big conference victory. Improving to 3-1-2 in the AAC, Covenant now holds the second spot in the conference standings, just one game behind King College.
Continuing her strong play of late, junior forward Jenny Carter scored the first goal of the game on an assist from another junior forward, Anna Lueck. Lueck then scored the second goal for the Lady Scots, coming on an assist from junior midfielder Becky Galage. Coupled with solid defensive play, that proved to be enough for Covenant to take home the win.
After the match, head coach Mark Duble said, "It was a really big win. We played very well."
Covenant is now 6-3-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the AAC. The Lady Scots will return home for their next match which comes against another conference opponent, Union College, on Saturday, October 11th at 3:30 PM.
