Johnson City, TN - Covenant played well Friday night in Johnson City but ran out of gas toward the end of the match in their loss to Milligan College. After losing the first game by a score of 19-25, the Lady Scots fought back and won game two by the same score and game three by a score of 25-23. However, it was all downhill from there as they lost the fourth game 16-25 and the fifth by a score of 9-15.
Despite the loss, Covenant got strong play from a number of players. Sophomore Shea McBee had a team-leading fourteen kills while freshmen Erica Adams, Jessie Jakes and Emily Stewart each had seven. Freshman Kristin Dahlstrand had ten assists and seven digs while junior Joanna McGill, who also had seven digs, finished with eight assists.
The Lady Scots are now 12-14 on the season and 8-9 in the AAC. They will finish up the conference portion of their regular-season schedule when they take on Montreat College on Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 PM in Montreat, NC.
