Lookout Mountain, GA – The Lady Scots fell to the King College Lady Tornado tonight in three games. Coming off of a loss to Reinhardt College in their last match more than a week earlier, Covenant tried hard to turn things around but couldn't as they lost 19-25 in the first game, 17-25 in the second, and 16-25 in the third.
On a high note, Covenant's serve receive had a great night, digging balls up constantly from King's strong front row. Junior Joanna McGill had twelve digs and freshman Jessie Jakes added seven. Sophomore Shea McBee had four kills, while freshman Kristin Dahlstrand had two aces serving.
Covenant is now 11-12 overall and 7-7 in the AAC, while King improves to an impressive 13-1 in conference.
The Lady Scots will look to rebound from the loss and finsih their season with strong play as they head into the final stretch. Their next match comes at home against a winless Virginia Intermont sqaud, taking place Saturday, October 25 at 11:00 AM.
