2015 (Senior): Became the program's first All-American as she was selected to the AVCA honorable mention team... Also earned AVCA All-South Region honors... Totaled 339 kills (3.08 per set) with a .301 hitting percentage and 0.83 blocks per set... Earned first team All-USA South honors for a third straight year... Became the first player in program history to be a first team all-conference performer all four years... Helped lead the program to its first USA South Tournament championship with 3.27 kills per set (36 total) over three matches in the tournament... Was named to the All-Tournament team... Named USA South Player of the Week on Sept. 28 after logging 4.82 kills per set with a .588 hitting percentage over three matches... Had 12 matches where she hit at least .400... Had 13 kills and no errors for a .722 hitting percentage in a three-set win over Maryville (Oct. 13)... Had a season-high 21 kills with one errors on 36 attempts (.556) in a four-set loss at Centre... Finished her career with 1,377 kills (second-best in program history) and set the program's career hitting percentage mark at .327... Earned USA South All-Academic honors for a second straight year
2014 (Junior): Played in 28 matches on the year... Named All-USA South first team for a second consecutive year... Led the team and finished third in the USA South with a .298 hitting percentage... Her 225 kills were third-best on the team... Had nine matches with at least 10 kills... Led the team in blocks with 68... Had 12 kills on 21 attempts with no errors against Averett (Oct. 3)... Followed that up with nine kills and a .438 hitting percentage later that day against Ferrum, giving her a stretch that was good enough to be named the USA South Player of the Week... Won that award one other time (Sept. 15)... Ended the year with 1,038 career kills, fourth-most in the rally scoring era of program history... Earned USA South All-Academic honors
2013 (Sophomore): Played and started in 28 matches, missing four due to injury... Led the team in kills with 380, which ranked eighth in the USA South... Was fifth in the conference in kills per set at 3.62 and fifth in hitting percentage at .302... Ranked second in the league in solo blocks with 37 and was fourth in total blocks with 104... Tallied 23 matches of double-digit kills and had a season-high 22 against Maryville (Oct. 15)... Set a career-high with 14 total blocks against Methodist (Oct. 26)... Named to the USA South All-Conference first team and was named USA South Player of the Week on Sept. 9
2012 (Freshman): Won multiple postseason awards as a freshman including: GSAC Player of the Year, GSAC Freshman of the Year, and NCCAA Mid-East All-Region… Earned GSAC Player of the Week honors twice (Sept. 12 and Oct. 31)… Started every match (33) and played every set (115)… Led the team and the conference in kills (433), kills per set (3.77) and hitting percentage (.390)… Led the team with 23 solo blocks and was tied for the lead in block assists with 61… Also accumulated 86 digs, 33 service aces and 17 assists… Registered double-digit kills in 29 of 33 matches with a season-high 25 coming in a five-set win over Asbury on Oct. 6… Her 433 kills were the most by a Covenant player since 2006 when Kate Hampson recorded 490
High School: Attended Manhattan Christian School… A member of the National Honor Society her junior and senior years… Was Academic All-State in three sports (volleyball, basketball and track & field)… Team captain in both volleyball and basketball her junior and senior seasons… Was All-Conference in both volleyball and basketball as a junior and senior… All-State for volleyball (Jr. and Sr.), basketball (Jr. and Sr.) and track & field (Sr.)… Helped guide her team to a state championship in volleyball her senior year… Holds school record for career kills (1,240) and high jump (5-feet, 4-inches)
Personal: Parents are Randy and Elaine VanDyk… Has two sisters, Erika and Hanna, and one brother, Jonathan… Favorite Bible verse is Psalms 20:7-8… She has been a volleyball and basketball coach with Little Eagle Camp… She is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Art, Marketing, and Sociology
