Biography

Amy "Dutch" Dykstra returns to the Lady Scots in her senior year as one of three captains and a strong force in the forward line up. Prior to Covenant, Amy played soccer at North Cobb Christian School where she was named Defensive Player of the Year (So., Jr.) and Academic Player of the Year (Sr.). She also played club soccer with the Diadora Impact.

Her parents are Tim and Melinda Dykstra. She has two older sisters, Emily and Abby, and a younger brother, Alex. In her spare time, Amy enjoys running, seeing friends, and reading a good book. Amy's willingness to listen and focus on others has been a great asset to her friends on the team over the past several years. She is often sought out by her teammates when they need someone to listen and pray for them. One of her favorite Bible verses is Matthew 5:5 which says, "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth."

Amy is a Pre-Med major with minors in both Chemistry and Biblical Studies. She would like to become a medical missionary once she finishes up her schooling.
