Jeromie Grammer was named the full-time assistant women's basketball coach in July 2021. The 2021-22 season was his first and only season with the program.

Grammer comes to Covenant after spending last season as the men's basketball assistant coach at Penn State-Beaver. Prior to his role at PSU-Beaver, Grammer spent one season as both the men's basketball and women's basketball assistant coach at the University of Maine at Augusta.

"It's a privilege to represent Covenant College and be a part of such a wonderful campus and community," said Grammer. "I'm very grateful for the opportunity to serve and learn from Coach Bareford and our players. Coach Bareford has a built a contagious culture of energy, excitement, and relationships that I am so excited to participate in."

"I hope to bring a passionate work ethic, a high standard of excellence and dependability, and a purposeful approach to my position in the program," added Grammer.

"From the start, Coach Grammer has impressed me with his heart for Christ, love for the game, and desire to invest into the people God places in his path to coach. We are so excited to welcome him to the Covenant women's basketball family," said Bareford.

Grammer also spent two seasons as the head boys' basketball coach at Legacy Christian Academy in Beaumont, Texas, where he led his teams to back-to-back 20-win seasons, including an undefeated district championship in 2017-18. From 2013-17, he served as an assistant men's basketball coach at NAIA member Southeastern (Fla.) where he helped the Fire win 73 games and reach the NAIA's Fab Four during his tenure.

In 2012, Grammer established Southeast Texas Hoops, a non-profit summer program that supports the athletic and social development of local youth athletes. Currently in its 10th year, the program routinely features 10-plus teams and 100-plus athletes.

Grammer earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Southeastern (Fla.) in 2015. He is pursuing a master's degree in business administration from Lamar.
