2014 (Freshman): Appeared in seven games... Batted .375 with two walks and two RBIs on the year... Had a two-run pinch-hit single in a 12-11 loss to Sewanee (March 13)... Also had hits against Berry (Feb. 15) and at Methodist (March 21)

High School: Attended Oakleaf High School… Helped lead her team to district championships in 2012 and 2013… Named team offensive MVP in 2012 and 2013… Earned first team All-State for District 5A… Has played with the Jacksonville Bandits summer league team for four years.

Personal: Parents are Mark and Trina Verwey… Has three siblings--John, Craig, and Taylor… Favorite bible verse is Galatians 2:20… Majoring in Psychology… Planning on becoming a specialist counselor in psychology.
