Biography

Jay returns for his senior season as one of the defensive backs for the Scots this season. Prior to Covenant, Jay played for Austin High School where he earned All-Area (Jr., Sr.) honors and captained the team in his senior year. He also played club soccer for Valley Futbol Club in Madison, AL.

His parents are Bryan and Denise Boyd. He has an older sister, Amanda. When he is not playing soccer, Jay enjoys snowboarding, salt water fish tanks, and watching fantasy football. One of his favorite Bible verses is Romans 3:23-24 which says, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Jay is a Business major with a concentration in Marketing. After graduation, he hopes to start a business, have a family, and coach soccer.
