KC Simons is in his fifth year assisting the baseball program in 2020 after playing for the Scots for four years.

Simons, son of head coach Doug, was a four-year starter for the Scots having played in 166 career games with 163 starts. He hit an even. 300 for his career with 127 runs and 40 stolen bases. Simons spent nearly his entire collegiate career at shortstop where he holds modern era program record in career assists (538) and is second in double plays turned (95).

Simons was an All-USA South third team selection in 2014 as his play helped the Scots to a conference regular season championship. As a freshman in 2012, he earned Great South All-Freshman and NCCAA Mid-East All-Region honorable mention honors. He also collected USA South All-Academic honors in 2013-14.

Simons earned his bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from Covenant in May of 2015. He and his wife, Liz (Covenant '16), have a son, Orlando.
