Josh Harvey enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Scots in 2023.
A three-year player for Covenant, Harvey now joins the coaching staff.
"I'm really excited to continue to be a part of the baseball program in a coaching role," said Harvey. "I'm hoping to use my knowledge and love of the game to help the program reach the next level. I'm excited to pour into the players and bring a positive energy every day to help the team achieve its goals."
Harvey become the first player in program history to garner CoSIDA Academic All-America first team honors as he earned the award as a senior in 2022. Harvey hit .412 in his final year, the fourth-best single-season average in program history, and earned USA South All-West Division second team.Â
In his three years with the Scots, Harvey produced the third-highest batting average (.352) and on-base percentage (.476) in program history.
Harvey was a three-time USA South All-Academic selection, including earning honors with distinction as a senior. He graduated from Covenant in spring 2022 with a degree in community development.
