Covenant College

Sam returns to Covenant as a senior forward for the Scots thisseason. Before finishing his collegiate career this season, Samtook a year off serving as a middle school youth pastor atOrangewood Church in Maitland, FL. He is now one of the six seniorsleading the Scots on the court this year. Prior to Covenant, Samplayed for Johnson High School where he earned Team MVP for twoseasons and was named an Academic All-Star during all fourseasons.

His parents are Larry and Mary Bowman. He has an older sister,Jessica Donaldson (married). She played both soccer and volleyballat Brenau University. When Sam is not playing basketball, he enjoysplaying Spikeball, the Walking Dead, and playing beach volleyball.Some of his favorite Bible passages are 2 Corinthians 5,Philippians 2, and Ephesians 2.

Sam is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies (Youth Ministry,Missions, and Coaching). After graduating from Covenant, he wouldlike to work with kids in some aspect, maybe in youth ministry orcoaching... but hopefully both!
