Summary

Biography

Jon returns to Covenant as the team captain and a senior forwardfor the Scots this season. During his career at Covenant, Jon wasnamed the Covenant College Defensive Player of the Year as both asophomore and a junior. Prior to Covenant, Jon played for GraceAcademy where he was named an NCHBC second team All-American andvoted to the first team All-Conference in his senior season. Jonalso played AAU basketball for Grand Rapids Rage.

His parents are Craig and BettyAnn DeVries. He has an olderbrother, Ben; and six younger siblings: Rebekah (also attendsCovenant), Tim, Josh, Elyssa, Dan, and Nick. One of Jon's favoriteBible verses is Galatians 2:20 which says, "I have been crucifiedwith Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The lifeI now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, wholoved me and gave himself for me."

Jon is majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics. Aftergraduating from Covenant, he would like to work in finance for theNBA franchise.
