Biography

Jessica, also known as "Chip," returns to Covenant in her senioryear as one of the three captains leading the Lady Scots on thecourt this season. Prior to Covenant, Jessica played volleyball forPoolesville High School where she helped her team to a statechampionship title in her senior year. She was also named to theAll-Star team in that same season.

Her parents are Sandy (played basketball at Wheeling JesuitUniversity) and Thom Chittenden. She has four younger sisters:Holly (sophomore basketball player at Shenandoah University),Rebekah, Kathryn, and Krystal. In her spare time, Jessica lovesphotography, juggling, scrapbooking, and making her own cards. Oneof her favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 31:30 which says, "Charmis deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears theLord is to be praised."

Jessica is an Elementary Education major. After graduating fromCovenant, she hopes to teach in the public school system for a fewyears. Eventually, she would like to go back to school and getcertification in either special education or English LanguageLearner (ELL) certified.
