Biography

Chris returns to Covenant in his senior season as a captain and strong midfielder for the Scots. During his time at Covenant, Chris has been recognized on the field as he was voted All-Region (Jr.) and named to the All-National Tournament team (So.). Prior to Covenant, Chris played for Christian Academy of Knoxville where he was voted All-Region and All-District in his senior season. He also played club soccer for F.C. Alliance.

His parents are Nathan and Angie Pifer. His dad, Nathan, played soccer for Covenant and is now the head coach for the Scots men's soccer team. His mom also attended Covenant. Chris has an older brother, David, who was also a four year varsity soccer player for the Scots. When Chris is not playing soccer, he enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and golfing. One of his favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31 which says, "...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Chris is a majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and minoring in Coaching. He has no set plans after graduation, but will be thankful to simply find employment.
