LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- After a nationwide search,
Myles Hendrick has been selected as the new assistant men's basketball coach, announced Director of Athletics John Hirte.
"With a passion for basketball and discipleship, I'm excited to be a part of Covenant men's basketball," said Hendrick. "I'm excited to join in the pursuit of the program's mission of the preeminence of Jesus Christ in all things and winning CCS Championships!"
Hendrick joins the Scots' ranks in a full-time role after being on staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2025-26. During that season, he oversaw multiple aspects of player development, scouting, film study, and offseason programs.
"I am thrilled that Myles and his family are joining our staff full-time at Covenant," said men's basketball head coach
Josh Brown. "Myles has a heart for discipleship and his experience at the highest level of college basketball will be a great benefit for our program."
Before ascending Lookout Mountain last year, Hendrick was a team manager for the men's basketball program at Auburn University, where he helped the Tigers reach two SEC Championships and an NCAA Final Four while assisting in the development of four first round picks in the NBA draft.Â
"Myles' experiences with Auburn men's basketball and serving full-time with RUF will serve him well as he assists Coach Brown with discipleship, recruiting, and player development within the men's basketball program," said Hirte. "We're thrilled to have him here in our department!"
Hendrick gained valuable experience outside of basketball as well, interning at RUF at the University of Arkansas, where he led weekly small group Bible studies and mentored multiple individual students on a weekly basis.
Brown added, "Myles has been a tremendous fit in our program and I'm excited for him to start working full-time leading our young men."
