DECATUR, Ga. - Covenant traveled to Agnes Scott for their first conference match of the year. The Scots put on an impressive performance and dominated the match top to bottom to earn a 7-0 win.
The Scots grabbed the momentum from the jump as Landry McKinney and Ora Hall got a 6-0 win over Jasmine Ziller and Sophia Dumitru-Rose at number three. Covenant clinched the doubles point at the number one line as Maisie Tanchanpongs and Estee Verdery blanked Kennadi Reese and Katherine Cox 6-0.
Katie Cummings and Christina English clinched the doubles sweep for the Scots as they beat Taylor Hendley and Feliz Pearson 6-3.
Tanchanpongs kept up her impressive play as she beat Reese at the number one spot 6-0, 6-0. Hall was nearly perfect at the number six spot as she put Covenant one win away from the clinch with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Ziller. The Scots got the clinch from English at the five slot as she defeated Dumitru-Rose 6-4, 6-1.Â
Verdery kept it going for the Scots at the two spot as she beat Hendley 6-1, 6-4. Cummings was the next match to finish as she knocked off Pearson at the four spot by a score of 6-1, 6-1. McKinney clinched the 7-0 sweep as she won at the three spot against Cox 6-2, 6-2.
