ATLANTA, Ga. - Covenant traveled to Oglethorpe to take on the Stormy Petrels on the road. The Scots started quick and didn't look back as they cruised to a comfortable 7-0 win.
Maisie Tanchanpongs and Estee Verdery got the Scots going early at number one doubles as they took care of Taylor Glover and Geianah Thomas 6-2. Katie Cummings and Christina English turned in a similar result as they downed Grace Elsevier and Apsana Rai 6-3 at the number two spot.
Landry McKinney and Ora Hall clinched the doubles sweep as they beat Luisa Gorgoll and Haggith Martinez 6-0.
Tanchanpongs continued her stellar freshman season as the number one spot as she easily defeated Glover 6-0, 6-0. McKinney put the Scots one match away as she beat Thomas 6-2, 6-0 at the number three line. Verdery earned the clinch at number two as she comfortably defeated Thomas 6-2, 6-0.
The back half of the Scots lineup kept momentum going as Kruesi Graham knocked off Kaylee Kula 6-1, 6-2 at number six. Hall picked up her second win of the day at the number five spot as she beat Gorgoll 6-2, 6-2. Cummings was the last match of the day to finish as she completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Rai in the number four slot.
