MARYVILLE, Tenn. - In Covenant's second game of the Maryville Classic, it took on John Carroll, looking to bounce back from yesterday's loss. The Scots kept it close, but were ultimately outmatched as they were defeated by the Blue Streaks by a score of 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Covenant put two shots on goal in the first six minutes of the game, but both were saved by GK Madeline Martin.
- John Carroll scored its first goal of the game just seven minutes in as Andrea Delgado found the net to put it up 1-0.
- At the 11-minute mark, the Blue Streaks scored again as Meredith Coloian connected on a penalty kick to extend the lead to 2-0.
- A few minutes later, after a Scots yellow card, John Carroll had another penalty kick opportunity. However, this time it was unsuccessful as it was saved by Bronwyn Kickasola.
- John Carroll led 2-0 at halftime, having outshot the Scots 12-3.
- At the 52-minute mark, Covenant had two shot opportunities following a corner kick, but AnnaLi Weekley's shot attempt was saved in the top right portion of the net.
- Covenant got off one more shot in the contest late, but it was saved as John Carroll ran out the clock on a 2-0 victory.
