JACKSON, Miss. - The Scots took their longest road trip of conference play, taking on Belhaven. Covenant struggled to score against the feisty Belhaven defense, scoring 40 points for the game and dropping to under .500 in CCS play for the first time this season.Â

FIRST QUARTER:
- After the Blazers scored on their opening possession, Amanda Neff made a triple to put the Scots on the board.
- Starting with a made jumper, Belhaven scored the next seven points of the game to go up 9-3.
- Covenant got as close as three points later in the quarter, however Belhaven ended the quarter on an 8-0 run to push its lead to 25-12.Â
 SECOND QUARTER:
- Neff started the quarter off with a triple, but a 17-0 Belhaven run afterwards saw the Scots trail 42-17.Â
- Later in the quarter Belhaven went on another 8-0 run which put it ahead 34 points.Â
- Breezy Savage made two free throws in the final seconds, but Covenant went into the locker room down 52-20.
 THIRD QUARTER:
- Covenant went scoreless for the first two minutes before Hannah Eidson got a shot to go in the paint to put the score at 56-22.Â
- Belhaven responded with a 6-0 run to push it up 40 points.Â
- The Scots followed with their best run of the night, scoring 14 of the next 15 points.Â
- The Blazers had the final basket of the quarter with 27 seconds remaining as the scoreboard now read 65-36.Â
 FOURTH QUARTER:
- The Blazers dominated the final 10 minutes, scoring 19 points and allowing just four points.Â
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 3-6 all-time against Belhaven.Â
- Neff and Savage each had 11 points to lead the Scots. Neff also had five rebounds.Â
- Covenant shot 20.7 % (12-58) from the field and 14.3% (4-28) from behind the 3-point line while Belhaven was 45.6% (31-68) and 36.8% (7-19) in the same categories.Â
- Covenant turned the ball over 31 times while Belhaven had 20.Â
- The Blazers won the rebound battle, 45-34.Â
