LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -  Covenant took on Maryville with a chance to capture the CCS Regular Season Championship with a win or a tie. However, it was the Scots of Maryville who ran away with a 3-0 victory, keeping their own CCS championship hopes alive.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Maryville struck first as Ben Brophy scored from close range at the six-minute mark to put his side up 1-0.
- The Blue Scots had several shot opportunities throughout the first half, including multiple attempts from Fox Landgren and Henry Parker, but they were unable to convert as Maryville took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- At the half, Covenant had outshot Maryville 13-5
- Five minutes into the second half, Maryville extended its lead as Nate Riepe scored off of an assist from Brady Hammer, whose shot was originally saved.
- Just two minutes later, the Maroon and Orange Scots scored again as Hammer put them up 3-0 with a powerful strike into the top-left corner.
- Covenant continued to create opportunities but was never able to score as Maryville picked up a big conference win on the road.
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 10-10-3 all-time against Maryville.
- Covenant outshot Maryville 22-9 and had a 10-6 advantage on shots on goal.
- Both teams had four corner kick opportunities.
- Maryville was whistled for 17 fouls while Covenant was called for eight.
