DEMOREST, Ga. – Covenant traveled to Piedmont for a matchup between two teams holding winning records in the CCS. Despite a competitive start, the Scots were unable to match Piedmont's pace, as the Lions pulled away for a 3-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Piedmont opened the scoring early as Sierra Judson found the back of the net to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
- Â At the 16-minute mark, AnnaLi Weekley tested Piedmont goalkeeper Maggie Leger with a well-placed shot, but Leger made the save to preserve the advantage.Â
- Covenant goalkeeper Bronwyn Kickasola responded with a key stop late in the first half to keep the Scots within one.
- At the break, Piedmont held a 10-2 edge in shots.
- The Lions struck quickly after halftime, with Jocelyn Maseda doubling the lead.Â
- Piedmont added a third goal in the 66th minute when Summer Huskin converted a penalty kick to make it 3-0.
- Covenant continued to push forward, earning second-half attempts from Weekley and Lydia Osborne, but was unable to break through as Piedmont closed out the victory.
