LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant hosted in-state rival Berry for its first home game and it did not disappoint. Behind a strong defense, the Scots withheld the Vikings to earn a 1-0 victory.Â

- Covenant had two corner kicks in the first 13 minutes, but were unable to use either one to take the lead.Â
- It was Berry's turn to have a few corner kicks as it had three in nine minutes, but it couldn't muster a single shot off either set piece.Â
- Defending CCS Rookie of the Week AnnaLi Weekley came off the bench and immediately attempted three shots, two of which were saved.
- At halftime, the Scots had outshot the Vikings 10-5.
- Berry came out aggressive in the opening minutes of the second half, as they put three shots on goal, all of which were saved by Covenant keeper Brownwyn Kickasola.
- The game-winning goal happened in the 60th minute right after a throw-in as Hannah Ford buried a right-footed shot into the back of the net on an assist from Aiden Strawbridge.
- The Vikings had a good opportunity to tie the match in the 77th minute as a loose ball in the box created havoc, but once again Kickasola found a way to prevent the ball from going into the back of the net.Â
- In the 82nd minute, Weekley blasted a shot from outside the box and was inches away from doubling Covenant's lead, but the ball hit the woodwork of the goal.Â
- The Scots held the Vikings to just one shot, that was off target, in the final eight minutes of the game.Â

- Covenant moves to 6-18-2 all-time against Berry.Â
- The Scots outshot the Vikings 18-14 while Berry had two more shots on target at 9-7.
- Covenant had seven corner kicks to Berry's five.Â
- The foul count was 9-8, Covenant.Â
- Kickasola totaled nine saves, which is a career-high for the sophomore.
