LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - On a rainy Saturday afternoon Covenant and Sewanee renewed their rivalry. The two teams played an exciting game that ultimately ended in a 1-1 tie.Â

Records: Covenant (4-1-1), Sewanee (1-3-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Covenant came out threatening as it put four shots on target in the first 18 minutes of the match.Â
- After a physical start to the match, the first yellow card was assessed to a Sewanee player in the 36th minute.Â
- Late in the first half, Covenant keeper Eli Honeycutt made a pair of saves.
- At the intermission each team had seven shots.
- Whitt Tisdale thought he scored the opening goal in the 57th minute, but his shot was cleared off the goal line by a Sewanee defender.Â
- The Tigers earned a penalty kick in the 75th minute after an attacker was fouled in the right side of the box. Tyler Cozzie stepped up and converted the goal to give Sewanee the lead.Â
- After the Tigers goalie fouled a Scots player in the box, Covenant earned a spot kick. Kade Theunissen's original shot was saved, but he followed up the rebound and blasted it into the back of the net to tie the match in the 82nd minute.
- A loose ball fell to Henry Parker just outside the box in the 86th minute, but his shot missed high.Â
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 10-5-4 all-time against Sewanee.
- Each team had 17 shots while Covenant had a slight edge in shots on goal 7-6.
- Covenant had the higher foul count at 14-11 while Sewanee had more yellow cards at 5-1.Â
- Honeycutt posted five saves in goal for the Scots.
