WILMORE, Ky. - Covenant traveled to Asbury for the first time as conference foes on Thursday night to battle them and Berea. The Eagles soared over the Scots in the first game of the night before Covenant bounced back with a 3-0 win over Berea in game two. Â

FIRST SET:
- A 4-0 run by Covenant that was aided by three bad sets from Asbury put it in front 10-8.Â
- A service ace by Kennedy Barber kept the Scots in front 16-14.
- The Scots led 23-22, but three consecutive points by the Eagles to close the set put them up 1-0.Â
SECOND SET:
- Three early kills by Isabelle VandSchraaf helped Asbury go up 8-3.
- The Scots kept it close as a service ace from Scarlett Martz put the score at 14-11.
- A couple of kills by Kelsey Carman fueled a 3-0 run by Covenant to tie the set at 21.
- As it did in the first set, Asbury ended the set on top with four consecutive points.Â
THIRD SET:Â
- After being neck-and-neck, Covenant took the lead at 13-12 after an attack error by Asbury.
- The Eagles scored the next four points to move in front 16-13.
- The Scots continued to fight back as an Anissa Snyder service ace tied the set at 20.
- Asbury won the next five points to close out the set and the match.Â
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 6-3 all-time against Asbury.Â
- Hannah Mathis led Covenant with nine kills and five total blocks.Â
- Barber posted 19 assists with four total blocks.

- Four of Covenant's first 11 points were service aces as it led 11-4.
- Covenant continued to extend its lead as kills from Hannah Mathis and Cali Sandhoff made it 18-9.Â
- The Scots scored five of the last six points to win 25-13.
SECOND SET:
- The Scots continued their momentum into set two as they went up 8-3 behind three kills from Mathis.
- Berea went on a run of its own to tie the set at nine.
- The two teams went back-and-forth as the set remained tied at 24.
- A bad set from Berea followed by a service ace from Carman put the Scots up 2-0.
THIRD SET:Â
- Delaney Stirm posted three kills in a row as Covenant led 11-4 in the early goings.
- Kills from Barber and Ella Bailey kept Covenant in front by seven at 18-11.
- The Scots ended strong as two kills from Mathis followed by a Berea attack error ended the set at 25-16 and the match.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 17-1 all-time against Berea.Â
- Stirm delivered a breakout game with a career-high 10 kills.
- Mathis was also in double-digits with 10 kills and four total blocks.Â
- Barber flirted with a double-double, tallying 31 assists and eight digs.Â
- Carman posted 10 digs and eight kills.Â
- Sarah Jennings led Covenant in digs with 21.Â
