FAIRBURN, Ga. - Covenant raced in the Georgia Tech XC Invitational on Friday morning for its third meet of the fall. The men's race was an 8k while the women's race was a 6k.

On the men's side, the Scots placed eighth out of 16 schools while the women finished 13th out of 23 teams. In both races, Covenant competed against schools from all divisions. That being said Piedmont was the only other team in the CCS in the meet and the Scots finished higher than the Lions in both races. 

MEN'S RESULTS

• Ethan Saiki was the highest finisher for Covenant with a 38th-place result and a time of 26:57.70. This time was the second personal record in a row that Saiki set. 
• Not too far past Saiki in 44th place was Daniel Bowles with a time of 27:09.01.
• Josiah Mellott posted a time of 27:23.20 and placed 52nd to be the third Scots runner to cross the finish line.
• Troy Daniel (28:46.19) and John Purtill (28:46.87) were neck-and-neck as they placed 80th and 82nd, respectively. Daniel's time is a new personal record. 
• Chander Lines (100th, 29:32.71), Samuel Harrelson (101st, 29:36.49), and Aidan DeVries (102nd, 29:42.15) were the next three Covenant runners to finish. 
• Ethan Caswell placed 104th with a time of 29:50.06 while Alex Burns finished 106th with a time of 29:53.72.
• Freshman Jack Dupree (109tj, 30:09.92), Jacob Howington (113th, 30:17.64), and Andor Agustsson (130th, 32:09.52) rounded out the Covenant lineup. 

WOMEN'S RESULTS

• For the first time in her career, Emerson Tillery led all Covenant runners with a 73rd-place result and a time of 24:47.82 which shatters her old personal record by over a minute. 
• Evangelia Berry was the next Scots runner to finish as she placed 91st with a time of 25:15.86.
• Maggie McGinley finished 106th and completed the 6k in 26:08.97 while Lydia Moore was not too far behind her with a 112th-place result and a time of 26:22.17, which was her best time of the year.
• Freshman Greta McLean (121st, 26:45.19), Kenzi Stapleton (126th, 27:02.83), and Sophia Velleco (135th, 27:46.25) were the next three runners to finish for Covenant. All three times were the best in the 6k in their college careers. 
• Claire Mellott (142nd, 28:11.91) and Kali Hina (168th, 30:18.81) were the last two runners for the Scots who competed.
