LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant took on former CCS-foe Berea on Wednesday night looking to move its win streak to four games. A strong offensive showing from the Scots led to a 5-1 result over the Mountaineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Covenant didn't waste any time as Luke Laughlin headed in a corner kick cross by Kade Theunissen in the fourth minute.Â
- In the sixth minute, Fox Landgren delivered a goal after Theunissen passed him the ball across the box that he smashed into the back of the net.Â
- Covenant continued to press on with wave-after-wave of attacks over the next 30 minutes.Â
- The Scots went up 3-0 in the 40th minute as Jonathan Welsh found Jackson Bostrom sliding at the back post for a goal.Â
- Covenant goalkeeper Will Hicks, preserved the 3-0 lead with a great save off a Berea set piece in the 44th minute.Â
- In the 50th minute, Jackson Hinson put a shot up from outside the box that rattled the top of the crossbar.
- Laughlin scored his second goal in the 52nd minute as a quick throw-in led to Whitt Tisdale putting in a cross at the near post that Laughlin got on the end of.Â
- Moments later, Tisdale earned a penalty kick after being fouled by the Berea goalie. The junior took the penalty and converted it to make it 5-0.Â
- In the 69th minute, Berea went down a man after Peter Mensah picked up his second yellow card.
- Berea earned a consolation goal in the 76th minute off the foot of Tobore Takpor.
- The Scots came close to a sixth goal in the 88th minute as Anderson Ivey's shot that was heading into the back of the net was cleared away by a Mountaineers defender.Â
GAME NOTES:Â
- Covenant moves to 13-1-0 all-time against Berea.
- Covenant outshot Berea 35-16 and had a 15-7 advantage in shots on goal.
- In his first appearance of the year, Hicks delivered six saves.Â
