MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Covenant began its CCS season with a trip south to take on Huntingdon. The Scots came back from a one-goal halftime deficit to come back to Lookout Mountain with a win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kade Theunissen about gave Covenant the lead in the seventh minute as his shot in the crossbar.
- Huntingdon took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal from Tate Reynolds.
- Josh Crisp and Theunissen had chances back-to-back in the 36th minute, but attempts were saved.
- The Scots had four corner kicks in the final eight minutes before halftime, however they could not take advantage of their chances.
- At the half Covenant had 19 shots while Huntingdon had five.]
- Theunissen netted his first goal of the year in the 49th minute to tie the match at one.
- Two minutes later, Ty Morgan scored what would turn out to be the winning goal for the Scots.
- In the 59th minute, Knox Gibson had two shots saved by the Hawks goalie.
- Covenant continued to press on looking for a third goal with shots from Theunisssen, Tyler Johnson, and Gibson.
- The Hawks had their final chance of the day in the 87th minute, but Sy Garrett's shot went wide left.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 20-2-1 all-time against Huntingdon.
- Covenant had a season-high 38 shots with 17 on goal.
- Corner kicks were 16-1 in favor of the Scots.
