LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - For its final game before Christmas Break, Covenant hosted Bob Jones. The Scots led from start to finish as they picked up their third win of the season.

FIRST QUARTER:
- Lucy Benson hit a triple on Covenant's first possession of the game and Karis McIntosh followed that with a layup to put Covenant up 5-0.
- Benson made her second 3-pointer with 5:57 remaining to put the Scots ahead 8-2.
- Ella Grace Squires and Cair Canady hit a pair of layups to push the Covenant lead to 12-4.
- Benson was fouled seconds before the quarter ended and made both free throws to put the score at 14-4.
SECOND QUARTER:
- The Bruins scored the first five points of the quarter to get back within five points.
- Covenant went on a 7-0 scoring run to go ahead 21-9.
- Covenant held Bob Jones scoreless for over seven minutes of game time.
- Madison Blevins and Abby Witt each made one free throw in the final minute of the quarter as Covenant went into the locker room in front 23-14.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Amanda Neff knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to put Covenant ahead 32-17.
- McIntosh went on a 11-0 scoring run herself which gave the Scots a 45-25 lead.
- Squires made another layup with under a minute left to put the lead at 21 points.
- Rilee Smith led a transition break in the final seconds and found Benson for a buzzer-beater 3-pointer in the corner to extend the lead to 51-27.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- Two triples by Breezy Savage highlighted a 9-0 run for Covenant to go ahead 60-34.
- Bob Jones found some life offensively with a 7-0 run to get back within 19 points with 4:11 left in the game.
- Smith made a 3-pointer assisted by Hannah Eidson for Covenant's final basket of the day.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 3-2 all-time against Bob Jones.
- Benson scored 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting to lead the Scots offensively. She also brought down six rebounds.
- McIntosh was also in double-figures with 13 points.
- Neff was the leading rebounder with seven rebounds. She also posted six points and two assists.
- Covenant shot 42% (21-50) while Bob Jones was 28.8% (17-59) from the field.
- The Scots won the rebound battle 42-27.
- Covenant knocked down 11 3-pointers.
UP NEXT: Covenant has some time off for Christmas before starting conference play at Berea on Jan. 2.
