LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - On a picture-perfect day at Scotland Yard, Covenant hosted Belhaven in the CCS Championship Match. The Scots avenged their loss to the Blazers earlier this year with a 2-0 win to clinch the CCS Championship regular season and tournament sweep.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the eighth minute, Kade Theunissen cut inside and had a curling shot well saved by the Belhaven goalkeeper Max Rudolph.
- In the 29th minute, Theunissen had another great opportunity on goal, but Ruldolph was true to his shot again.
- Whitt Tisdale had Covenant's final attempt of the half in the 33rd minute that was saved at the bottom left of the goal.
- Belhaven couldn't get past the Covenant backline as it was held to zero first half shots.
- The match was physical with Covenant having nine fouls and Belhaven committing six fouls by halftime.
- The Blazers had their first shot in the 56th minute, but J.T. Gard was there for Covenant to make the stop.
- Tisdale had a one-on-one look with Rudolph in the 70th minute, but his shot was placed right at Rudolph who made another save.
- After a well-placed cross from the right wing by Blake Myers, Tisdale headed home Covenant's first goal in the 81st minute.
- Less than two minutes later, Tisdale made it 2-0 with a great strike after a through ball from Luke Laughlin played him in on goal.
- Belhaven had two corner kicks in the final few minutes of the match, but couldn't muster a shot off either opportunity.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 4-5-4 all-time against Belhaven.
- The Scots outshot the Blazers 11-2.
- Covenant had three corner kicks while Belhaven had zero.
- This is the third consecutive season the Scots have won their Conference Tournament.
- After the game, Parker Rody and Gard were named to the All-Tournament team while Tisdale was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.
