ORLANDO, Fla. -- In a completion of a match that started on Monday, the Covenant women's tennis team fell to Saint Mary's (Ind.), 5-4, on Tuesday.

The Scots' scheduled matches against Marywood and Otterbein on Tuesday were canceled due to weather.

Covenant (4-6) took a 2-1 lead after doubles play on Monday night before the match was halted due to rain. Gillian Bosko and Madelyn Savage held down the top spot in doubles action with their 8-5 win over Alayna Campbell and Lucy Chamberlin. Nicole Restrepo and Lauren Carr made it a 2-0 match lead for the Scots with an 8-5 win over the Belles' Kalyn Borger and Meredith Heckert at the No. 2 spot.

Bosko extended the Scots' lead to 3-1 with her singles win at the No. 2 flight. The junior bested Heckert 6-2, 6-2.

After the Belles tied the match at 3-3, Melton gave the lead back to the Scots with her 6-1, 6-2 win over Borger at No. 5. Saint Mary's (1-5) took the final two matches at No. 6 and No. 4 to rally for the victory.
