In the second quarter, though, Maryville would go on to outscore Covenant 24-7. The visiting Scots took a quick 10-point lead after stringing together a 13-0 run to start the quarter (26-16). Covenant struggled to score, as their first basket would not come until the 4:47 mark when Moore knocked down a 3-pointer to make it 26-19.

One jumper apiece from Moore and Caldwell were the only other baskets notched during the quarter, allowing Maryville a 37-23 lead at the half.

From there, it was all Maryville, as the visiting Scots kept their feet on the gas in the second half. They recorded 25 points in the third quarter and 22 in the fourth.

While Covenant still struggled to see the ball through the hoop, they were able to record a quick 8-0 run during the fourth quarter thanks to a jumper and a 3-pointer from Karis McIntosh, followed by another three from Naomi Crumley (68-46). But, Maryville would outscore the Scots 16-6 to end the period, allowing them to gain the 84-52 victory.
