KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Madelyn Savage and Laney Beckwith each had two wins to lead the Covenant women's tennis team to an 8-1 victory at Johnson on Wednesday afternoon.

It was the last scheduled match of the season for Covenant (10-5). It marks the seventh time in program history (established in 2007) that the Scots have recorded 10 or more wins in a season.

Savage took a pair of wins at top flights. She paired with Gillian Bosko for an 8-0 victory in doubles over Annalise McDonald and Lauren Murray before taking down McDonald in singles by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

The Savage/Bosko tandem moved to 10-4 on the year, all at the No. 1 spot.

Covenant took a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Nicole Restrepo and Mariah Westra were 8-6 winners over Brooke Hilemon and Iris Loveday at No. 2. Beckwith and Dani Rappuhn completed the doubles sweep as they outlasted Johnson's Emily Allen and Katelyn Lee 8-7(4).

Kacey Melton clinched the match for the Scots with her 6-3, 4-1 win over Lee, who had to retire from the match before it concluded. Anna Logan notched a three-set victory over Loveday with a 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 win at No. 4.

Beckwith collected her second win of the day at No. 6 as she defeated Allen 6-3, 6-2. Alexis Baker closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Hilemon at No. 5.
