SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Covenant women's tennis team wrapped up its season with a 9-0 loss at No. 32-ranked Sewanee on Tuesday evening at the Bruton-Guerry Tennis Center.
Covenant ends the year with a 10-6 overall record. It is the seventh time in program history (established in 2007) that the Scots have recorded 10 or more wins in a year, while it is also the seventh winning season.
Sewanee (7-2), ranked 32nd in the nation in the latest ITA rankings and seventh in the region, took all three doubles spots for a 3-0 match lead.
The host Tigers then completed the sweep in the singles portion of the match.
It was the final collegiate match for seniors Mariah Westra and Laney Beckwith. The pair helped the Scots to 31 victories over the course of their careers.
