MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Will DeMersseman shot a 75 and Crawford Collett carded a 76 in the final round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery.
Covenant improved on its first-round score by four strokes as the Scots posted a 315 for a 36-hole score of 634 (319-315).
Piedmont won the tournament with a 566 (281-285) in a field that had 10 teams ranked inside the Golfstat Top 25. Carnegie Mellon's Jason Folker rallied to win medalist honors with his 6-under 138 (71-67).
DeMersseman had the low round for the Scots on Tuesday with a 75 that features a pair of birdies. The junior finished in a tie for 45th overall with a two-day score of 152 (77-75). Collett placed in a tie for 30th in the tournament after carding a 76 in the final round for a 149 (73-76).
Joel Dahms posted a career-best 80 in Tuesday's round and finished with a 168 (88-80) for the tournament. Isaac Duncan finished with an 84 on Tuesday for a 171 (87-84), while Kenny Duffin was at an 85 in the final round for a 167 (82-85).
Carnegie Mellon (570), Guilford (582), Emory (588), and Methodist (590) rounded out the top five teams in the tournament.
