LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Coming off a 13-day layoff between matches, the Covenant men's tennis team quickly got back into the win column with an 8-1 win over Greenville on Friday afternoon at the Covenant Tennis Complex.
Covenant (4-3), which had not played since a March 6 win at LaGrange, has won two straight.
Four Scots -- Ben Luke, Austin Dreslinski, Solomon Crouch, and Paxton Haggerty -- picked up two wins apiece to lead Covenant to the win.
Crouch and Dreslinski combined for an 8-5 win over Austin Burkhart and Zach Merrill at the No. 1 position in doubles play. Luke and Haggerty gave Covenant a 2-1 lead after doubles competition with their 8-4 win at No. 2 over Tyler Blume and Luke Motsinger.
The Scots then took victories at each of the six flights in singles play.
Luke was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Motsinger at the top flight to clinch the match for the Scots, while Dreslinski took a 6-2, 6-1 win over Burkhart at No. 2. Crouch was a 6-2, 6-0 winner of Blume at No. 4 and Haggerty won in three sets 7-6(2), 4-6, 10-3 over Merrill at No. 5.
Ethan Gibson collected a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 over Blume, while Chris Morton completed the singles sweep with his 6-1, 6-1 win against Thibaut Tignee.

Covenant will host Belhaven on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Covenant Tennis Complex.
